Radio Free Burrito Episode 45 – No Secret Messages
wil, · Categories: Film, Music, TravelHey nerds! It’s time for a new Radio Free Burrito! This show features a whole lot of talking about stuff, including the JoCo Cruise, art, auditions, and why it’s great to do things that are hard.
- Radio Free Burrito doesn’t work as hard to earn its [EXPLICIT] tag as Memories of the Futurecast did, but it still manages to upset mom and get Twitter breakup messages from sensitive people. You have been warned.
- This episode’s theme music is Master of Puppets, from the album of the same name.
- Like nerds? Like boats? Like food that is mostly salt? You’re gonna love JoCo Cruise 2017!
- I run with Zombies, Run!, and so should you.
- Here’s the proof of concept video thing I made. It’s called Ephemeral Nightmare.
- The Decline of Western Civilization dovetails really well with Urgh! A Music War.
- That ABC show about the Sunset Strip and the murder guy was canceled after, like, three episodes? Wicked City? I know they made more than three episodes. They should release the rest of them. The show was flawed, but had a lot of potential.
- You can buy music from The Jackalopes at Magnatune.com.
- I was thinking about how the documentary AMY makes me so sad, because literally every single person in her life who should have protected her failed her, because of their own narcissism and greed.
- I read a story from my blog about The First Mile. It went better than expected. It featured music from Kalabi.
- You can find Movies With Mikey at YouTube.
- You can listen to TV Crimes at our website, or in the usual places you find podcasts.
- This episode is 59m23s long and 62.9MB big.
- This line intentionally left blank.
- This is the end of the show notes.
No, you don’t find podcasts under a hobo fuckpile. Why would you even think that?
Okay, enough of the talk about secret messages. Here’s your embed.
And, as always, for you non-embeds out there: 045-RFB
A new RFB? It’s like my birthday and Christmas all rolled into one!
RFB! This made an average Monday into a good one.
As someone with depression, the Taylor Swift concert story made me laugh in recognition. Hearing about your life reboot and creative projects is encouraging and it’s good to hear you sounding so excited about stuff.
In response to one of your comments in the show, I am a longtime fan of Radio Free Burrito in part because it has a kind of informal, relaxed tone, and because it’s always so honest.
All these words to say, thanks for another interesting and excellent episode.
Your latest Burrito couldn’t have come on a better day. Just when it was time for me to go home from work, some idiot managed to jam a train door at the Montgomery Street BART station, thereby shutting down all service to the East Bay from San Francisco until the now out of service train could be removed from the only eastbound track.
Thanks to your new Burrito, the 30 minutes I spent standing in wait for the latest BART snafu to resolve itself, along with the crowded ride home, flew by.
I had to stop listening at 20:46, because I literally, not figuratively, had my jaw drop, and just wanted to congratulate you on getting a job from an audition.
Now back to the RFB to experience if there will be any more jaw-dropping moments on my part…
FYI The song at 13:30 is Mr. Frankenstein by Peter & The Wolves https://youtu.be/sHiUTUM7pYg

I got so much from this RFB that the only comment I can think of to make is one that might give something back. I wanted to give you a specific link for improving your ukulele chord change practice sessions, but I couldn’t pick just one from this blog. Please take a look around and use what you find informative. I hope that your uke experience improves. When all else fails, sing loudly.
You are not alone in your political views and I appreciate your openness about it. It is one of the many things we have in common and one of the reasons I follow you. Keep truckin’ brother.
Hey, congratulations on getting cast! BTW, yes, I’ve always thought that “Dude” was non-gender-specific.
Cool that you run with Zombies Run. I do too. Looking forward to the 2016 race the end of this month; Go Runner 5!
New RFB life is good, and now you voice is the one I hear when I get an e-mail. That’s not a creepy thing to say in the slightest; right?
Every actor has a particular type they can play well, for some reason or another. It doesn t necessarily have anything to do with who we are in real life, but it s just what we do well.
Saw your plug on your Tumblr and since I love podcasts I gave it a listen. It’s been very worthy it. Thank you for your time!
I’m impressed that you have begun waking up at bullshit o’clock!
So I check back about once a week to see if there’s a new RFB and huzzah! I always get a big kick out of the links, too. Please do keep reading aloud and setting it to music—this recent segment and the hotel one were very compelling.
Had I had the luck to encounter you at GenCon 2015, I would have told you that you (and your tips in your blog, and YouTube videos of your campaign) inspired me to get behind the DM screen for the first time.
Best wishes in everything you do and I’m looking forward to more of your creative output, whether it’s writing or audiobook readings or bringing a character to life in Season Two of the comic-book based superhero drama, POWERS. Woot!
First time listening to RFB. Loved it. Thanks for taking the time! The Frankstein tune rocked.
Congrats on the job!!!! Can’t wait til you can tell us what it is!!!!!!
Yay, finally a new episode 🙂
An hour long and starts with Metallica!!!! Weeeeee 🙂 🙂
Does Ephemeral Nightmare have some backwards voice at the beginning?
